I
hope everyone survived the winter in good shape, it seems to me that we
should be due for an easy winter in the near future.
I
will give you the latest information I have on the Niagara County Bridge
replacements on the Quaker Road and West Somerset Road. The Quaker
Road is probably about a 50% chance of being completed this year.
Apparently they have run into a snag at the State level and until that
is straightened out, they are unable to proceed. There has to be a
Right Of Way acquired for this bridge project and that process takes
some time. Unless the state clears the problems they have real
soon, time will run out in the 2005 construction season. The
West Somerset Bridge is not likely to be replaced in 2005, but
information is changing daily, so that could change also. I will
try my best to keep you informed.
The
County Bridge on Haight Road over Golden Hill Creek that was replaced in
2003 has to have the deck repaired. Haight Road could be closed again
this summer while that job is completed.
